California woman who believed victim was ‘devil’ admits to insanity

The couple was taken to Pullman Regional Hospital. The man suffered a punctured lung and stab wounds that hospital staff said nearly severed major arteries. The woman was also treated for cuts.

Officers were told there was a small child in the home and that one of the victims was the primary caregiver. Dennison told authorities she stabbed the man because she believed he was the devil and couldn’t let him raise the child.

When Dennison attempted to further attack the pair, they defended themselves using a gate and kitchen pans as a shield.

The victims made statements in court on Friday, saying the incident still deeply affected them physically, mentally and emotionally.

“The attack actually ended, but in my head it never ended,” the victim said. “The paranoia runs deep, and it’s not just Tiffany. I don’t trust anyone outside anymore… I don’t trust my judgment of new people anymore.”

Dennison was ordered to remain in custody until her sentencing date next month. She is being held on $1 million bail.
