In Jharkhand it was neck and neck, with the INDIA bloc and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leading with 41 and 37 out of 81 seats.

In Jharkhand, some polls predicted the NDA would win a slim majority, but others said the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-Congress alliance was heading for a comfortable majority.
