IGNOU PhD Admission 2024: Last Date for Application Extended to 25th November

According to the official announcement, candidates must have a valid UGC NET 2024 result or a valid UGC NET result with JRF to be eligible to apply for doctoral admission in IGNOU.

To apply, candidates must pay an application fee of Rs.1000 (Representative/File Photo).

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the admission process for PhD degree till November 25, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates who are yet to register can do so by visiting the official website ignouadm.samarth.edu.in. “With the approval of the Competent Authority, the last date for submitting online application for PhD programs has been extended to 25.11.2024,” the official notification said.

According to the official announcement, candidates must have a valid UGC NET 2024 score or a valid UGC NET certificate with JRF to be eligible to apply for doctoral admission in IGNOU. Candidates must also have a master’s or postgraduate degree from a UGC approved institution and have scored at least 55 percent of the possible marks. SC, ST, EWS, OBC and PWD candidates were given 5% relaxation in class.

IGNOU PhD Admission 2024: Documents Required to Apply

— Scanned passport size photograph (less than 100 KB).

— Signature scanning (less than 100 KB)

– All supporting documents including UGC NET-JRF certificate, UGC-NET scorecard, caste certificate, income certificate, disability certificate, educational certificate, year of birth and relevant mark sheets (less than 500 KB).

IGNOU PhD Admission 2024: How to Apply?

Step 1: Go to ignouadm.samarth.edu.in, the official portal of IGNOU Samarth.

Step 2: In the Applicant Login section, select the New Registration button.

Step 3: Enter your information accurately, including your name and password, into the appropriate fields.

Step 4: You will receive an SMS and an email with your username.

Step 5: Submit a scanned copy of each required document.

Step 6: Use a credit or debit card or net banking to pay the application fee.

Step 7. Complete and submit the online application. Applicants should be sure to review the application before submitting.

Step 8: Save it to your computer for future use.

To apply, candidates must pay an application fee of Rs.1000. Candidates from other categories need to pay Rs 800. Application fees are not reimbursed.
