Genshin Impact Mamull Puzzle Solution

To solve the first two puzzles of Mamull’s Painted Stone Challenge, all you have to do is remember what colors appear on the stones on the boxes. To change the color of the stone, extract the color from one of the nearby Hued Monetoos (swimming jellyfish-like creatures).

Then hold down the Elemental Skill button to direct the color to the stone and release the button to throw it and color the stone. If you’re lucky enough to get a color that doesn’t match any of the Hued Monetoos, you’ll have to extract colors from multiple Hued Monetoos to create a color (combining blue and red makes purple, etc.).

Once you have recreated the color pattern on the stones, talk to Mamall again to complete the puzzle and open the shared chest.

The real challenge comes when Mamull starts the third puzzle, which you need to solve to unlock the Luxury Chest in the back. As you have probably already noticed, Mamul is trying to deceive you. It does this by causing the Ictomisaurus Saurian to change the color of the stones after you dye them, so that you will fail the test no matter what.

The solution to Mamula’s problem on painted stone is to attract Ictomisaurus to your side. To do this, you need to free their child, locked in a cage located to the left of the chests.

Remember, you need to talk to the adult Ictomisaurus. after you freed their child from the cage, otherwise they will not help you in the final challenge, The Painted Stone.

Once you have informed the adult Ictomisaurus of the situation, return to Mamull and restart the third challenge. This time you won’t have to remember what colors the rocks are, as the adult Ictomisaurus will change them to the ones you drew the pattern with now that they’re on your side.

Now all you have to do is watch Mamul gain his skills before you can finally open the Luxurious Chest and receive the message “Alert and on Guard!” Achievement. The chest may even contain a Purple Obsidian Fragment, which will be needed to form Purple Obsidian. Obsidian ring which lowers the barrier of the secret treasure area in the Night-Wind Lords’ settlement.

Good luck on your future travels around Natlan!
