Search continues for missing 7-year-old boy with autism

WEST CHESTER TWP, Ohio (WXIX) – The search for a missing nonverbal 7-year-old boy with autism from West Chester Township continues Thursday.

Several crews went in search of Joshua Altiff will start on Wednesday. from evening to Thursday at 3 am

The search resumed at 8 a.m. Thursday.

Barb Wilson with West Chester County Police says Altif was last seen near his home on Windtree Drive around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Altif is described as 4 feet tall and weighing 44 pounds.

He was last seen wearing the following:

Light brown shirt
Tan trousers
Black, red and white Nike shoes
Jacket

Police say Althief may run away if approached.

He is also known to love water and parks.

West Chester Police Capt. Seth Hagaman says if you are a resident or business owner within five miles of OH-747 and Smith Road, check your property for a 7-year-old child.
