Ahead of counting day, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Pune unit president Deepak Mankar reacted to the exit poll projections for the state and expressed confidence in the BJP-led Mahayuti’s victory, saying the alliance would win 180 seats and win all eight. places in Pune area.

Talking to news agency ANI about the exit polls, Mankar said, “The whole atmosphere is in favor of Mahayuti in Maharashtra. We work at the grassroots level, and that’s why we know the public supports our work. I think Mahayuti will get 180 seats here. Our candidates have done a good job in their districts. In Pune, Mahayuti will also win all 8 seats.”

Most exit polls predict that the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance is likely to form the government, while some predict a close contest.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole remains confident of a Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) victory in the Assembly elections despite poll forecasts favoring government formation by the Mahayuti alliance.

Speaking to ANI, Patole cited inflation and unemployment as the main issues affecting the elections.

“It is obvious that the MBA will come to power and we will form the government on November 25. We will ensure that what happened in Haryana does not happen again in Maharashtra. Youth, women and the unemployed voted in large numbers. The BJP will suffer due to the problems of inflation and unemployment,” Patole said.

Responding to the BJP’s accusations of “voting for jihad”, Patole accused the party of distributing money and liquor in Maharashtra. He asked: “Isn’t this jihad?” The ruling Mahayuti alliance, led by the BJP, includes the BJP, Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) faction led by Ajit Pawar, while the opposition MVA includes the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and the NCP faction led by Sharad. Pawar.

“BJP will snatch Kasbah Peth”

Mankar expressed confidence that the Mahayuti alliance will win back the Kasbah Peth Assembly seat from sitting Congress MLA Ravindra Dhangekar. Mankar attributed this confidence to the hard work of the alliance and the additional strength brought by the NCP’s partnership with the BJP.

Mankar said, “Every party worker in the alliance has worked hard to win it back from the Congress. During the by-elections, Dhangekar got the seat by a fluke…and since NCP (United) was not in alliance during the by-elections, it helped Congress, but now NCP is supporting BJP, so extra forces ensure that BJP candidate Hemant Rasane on this time will win the seat.”

Mankar further stated that Dhangekar has done nothing for the people except publicity stunts. “After winning the election, he did nothing for the people of the constituency except for some publicity stunts during his tenure. Therefore, we are 100 percent confident that Rasane will get seats,” Mankar said.

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Mohan Joshi said, “The people of Maharashtra are tired of the BJP and its alliance partners due to the issues of unemployment, inflation and their false promises. So whatever statements they make, they have no meaning and MVA will win in Maharashtra including Kasbah Peth seat, our candidate and sitting MLA will repeat the poll results.”
