Meet Ekow Gyan, a young Ghanaian saving lives on Sakumono Beach

Ekow Gyan, popularly known as Odin Gad, has repeatedly saved people who might otherwise have drowned.

My Joy Online reported that he recently rescued a young man in his 30s, bringing the total number of people saved to more than 15.

Many of those who regularly visit Sakumono Beach describe Ekow as a hero. Even though he knows the consequences of his actions, he routinely risks his life to save others, jumping into the sea to save drowning beachgoers.

Despite his selfless heroism, Ekow was often met with ingratitude.
