7 New Movies and TV Shows Coming to Netflix, Prime Video, Max and More This Weekend (November 22)

The penultimate weekend of November 2024 has arrived, and although Thanksgiving Day in the United States is still a week away, the world best streaming services had a delicious feast new films and shows to enjoy over the next few days.

There were so many new movies and TV shows released this week that my colleagues and I struggled to narrow the list down to seven. Indeed, be it HBO’s new crime thriller Take Millie Black or two other nugh movies Netflix V Joy And Piano lessonn, we just couldn’t fit everything into this week’s streaming recommendations guide.

The Mystery, Season 2, Act 3 (Netflix)

Do you have tissues on hand? You’ll need them because the last three episodes Secret Season 2 will most likely break our hearts. WITH Secretseason two concludes the award-winning animated seriesAlso, once they are released, there will be no more chapters to enjoy. Netflix tomorrow (Saturday, November 23).

However, although I know this will be a bittersweet end to one of best netflix shows ever created, I plan to enjoy SecretLast hurray as best I can. I didn’t watch the third act in advance either, so I’ll be keeping an eye on you all to see every awesome moment as it unfolds. The long-awaited historical war drama from Steve McQueen. Blitz is one of four new Apple TV Plus movies and shows to look forward to in November. The action takes place in London during the Second World War. Nine-year-old George (Elliot Heffernan) is evacuated to the village by his mother Rita (Saoirse Ronan) to escape the Blitz. Determined to return to his mother, George embarks on a dangerous journey home while Rita desperately searches for him.

There’s no doubt that Apple TV Plus is home to a ton of high quality content – I mean it’s been topped Streaming Service of the Year according to TechRadar precisely for this reason. Some of it Best Apple TV Plus Movies attracted many A-list actors such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Jennifer Lawrence and Tom Hanks. Now Oscar-nominated actress Saoirse Ronan is set to take on another stunning role in the period drama. Blitz. I’m getting the napkins ready!

Enchanted (Netflix)

One of many November new Netflix movies Enchanted The story follows Princess Ellian (Rachel Zegler), the young princes of Lambria, who goes on a quest to save her family after a spell turns her parents into monsters.

My press is ahead (stay tuned for my full review this weekend) I was expecting this to be your average children’s animated fantasy. However, I came away with a surprisingly emotional impression of the film’s touching message, which many families will appreciate. Indeed, Spellbound, which may be enough to join our best netflix movies, is a heartwarming and magical adventure set in a colorful world, perfect for the whole family. Oh, and there are some catchy songs that will get you dancing!

Cruel Intentions (Prime Video)

When it comes to ’90s teen dramas, Cruel Intentions was one of the biggest films of its time. This story of bored, scheming step-siblings (Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe) at an elite school who try to seduce a new student (Reese Witherspoon) as part of a dishonest bet is not what you’d expect to be made into TV . show today, but Amazon did exactly that.

Not many were delighted with the idea Cruel Intentions TV remakeso it’s probably no surprise that the new series has only a 22% rating on Rotten Tomatoes since its debut on Prime Video. Although this won’t work for either Prime Video’s best showsthe original film is available for free on Amazon Freevee in the US and on Prime Video in the UK and Australia. It may not have great critical acclaim, but it has an amazing soundtrack.

Sex life of college girls, season 3 (Max)

If you’re looking for a more upscale college drama, then season three Sexual life of female studentswho was part everything new about Max in November.article, also already out. The first episode of the returning comedy series debuted on Max on Thursday (November 21), with new episodes airing weekly until January 23, 2025.

For those unfamiliar with the plot, this teen series follows roommates Whitney (Alya Chanel Scott), Bela (Amrit Kaur), Kimberly (Pauline Chalamet) and Layton (Renee Rapp) as they attend the fictional Essex College. It was a success with both audiences and critics, and has a score of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, making it one of Max’s best shows.

There’s always a lot of intrigue when a new true crime documentary airs. Netflix has been leading the way lately with films like Woman of the hour And the latest from Ryan Murphy Monsters franchise. If you’re in the mood for something like this, then Peacock introduces us personally to one of America’s most notorious murderers: Charles Manson.

The documentary series is described as “offering unfiltered information about America’s most notorious killer, Charles Manson. Through 20 years of never-before-broadcast conversations, the views of those closest to the case were challenged.” So it should be a very interesting watch, featuring footage of the man himself and those who knew him. However, if you prefer your crime to be fictional, I highly recommend Peacock Horror Series Hysteria!.

ET: Romulus (Hulu)

Alien: Romulus The official streaming debut has taken place! Well, on Hulu, anyway—if you’re too scared to see it in the theater, don’t worry, because no one in your living room will hear you screaming from behind your pillow. However, as I suspected, this is bittersweet news because the latest Stranger movie it doesn’t have a Disney Plus release date yet. Then fans in other territories will have to wait a little longer for the home release. But hey, at least the first TV show of the sci-fi horror franchise, a.k.a. Alien: Earthis due to appear on Hulu and Disney Plus simultaneously in mid-2025.

However, those of you living in the US are in for a treat as Alien: Romulus is one of my favorite entries in the franchise. In my opinion this is as good as Aliensand people at Rotten Tomatoes tend to agree, given its glowing 80% rating.

If you’re in the mood for a good scare and you’re not in the US, you might want to check out 7 Sci-Fi Horror Movies on Hulu, Prime Video and Other Platforms for some creepy, unearthly entertainment.
