Hyderabad: Current President of the BRS KT Rama Rao under fire by the Congress government for neglecting Gurukul students while prioritizing personal and political gains. Criticizing Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, he said that while students were struggling to meet basic needs, the Chief Minister was focusing on his wealth and influence.

In a series of posts on X, Rama Rao explained the difficult conditions in Gurukul boarding schools, saying students are forced to eat food contaminated with worms and become ill due to inadequate conditions. He criticized Revanth Reddy for misplaced priorities by focusing on creating Pharmaceutical villages to benefit his family and take up the Musi River rejuvenation project while ignoring the plight of the students. “While children are suffering in ambulances, the chief minister is enjoying helicopter rides and lavish meals. The current BRS president also condemned the government’s inaction regarding student hospitalizations, snake bites and unnecessary deaths. He said he compared Congress’ rules to the rule of vultures preying on poor children.

He accused the state administration, including the chief minister, of ignoring a tribal student who has been fighting for her life for the past 20 days after she was hospitalized due to food poisoning and failing to address systemic failures. He warned that neglect of the Gurukul students would lead to the fall of the Congress government. “Their suffering will mark the end of the demons’ reign,” he said.
