It’s been five years since Taco Bell removed its most beloved dessert from the menu. causing a storm of protest among customers. But this week the iconic treat is finally available again in restaurants across the country, and fans say it’s just as delicious as they remember.

That’s right! Taco Bell’s popular Caramel Apple Empanada (280 calories) returns to stores nationwide beginning November 21st. This deep-fried dough filled with diced apples and caramel sauce, the chain brought this treat out of retirement as part of new menu for decades it pays homage to discontinued favorites.

Four more legacy items—Tostada (170 calories), Green Sauce Burrito (370 calories), Meximelt (250 calories) and Gordita Supreme (280 calories)—debuted as part of the Decade menu in late October. But customers had to wait a few more weeks for the caramel apple empanada, one of most in demand production of discontinued Taco Bell products.

Shoppers have been rushing to stores for the sweet empanadas since they returned on November 21, and the reviews are already flowing. While memory may not always be accurate, fans are happy to report that the Caramel Apple Empanadas are just as desirable as they were before production was discontinued.

While many want it to stay forever, the Caramel Apple Empanada will only be available for a limited time. So interested fans who haven’t snagged one yet shouldn’t wait too long to visit their local Taco Bell. Product retails for a suggested price of $2.99, although prices may vary.

Other Taco Bell Decades menu items are also still available right now, but like the Caramel Apple Empanada, they’re only available for a limited time. The Tostada, Green Sauce Burrito, Meximelt and Gordita Supreme retail for suggested prices of $2.19, $2.49, $2.99 ​​and $2.99 ​​respectively.

Taco Bell customers craving nostalgia should also check out the Chili Cheese Burrito (380 calories), which recently returned to some parts of the country after production ceased in most stores in the mid-1990s. It features seasoned beef chili and shredded cheddar wrapped in a tortilla.
