Families remember lost loved ones on second anniversary of CH Walmart shooting

CHESAPEAKE, Virginia. Friday marks the second anniversary of the mass shooting at a Chesapeake Walmart that left six people dead. Families will take time to honor and reflect on the loved ones they lost on the morning of the tragic anniversary.

It was two years ago, and on this day, a manager opened fire in a store, killing six people before turning the gun on himself. The six dead included Brian Pendleton, Kelly Pyle, Lorenzo Gamble, Randy Blevins, Tyneka Johnson and Fernando Chavez-Barron.

At least six people were also injured in the tragic shooting that rocked the Chesapeake and Hampton Roads communities.

There is a memorial in front of the Walmart on Sam’s Circle in Chesapeake to honor the six victims.

Walmart reopened its doors to the public six months after the incident.
