Brown County towing ban enacted

Brown County towing ban enacted

GREEN BAY (NBC 26) – People in northeast Wisconsin are waking up to their first snowfall of the season.

Drivers can expect unpleasant conditions during their commute Thursday, and Brown County Public Safety leaders want to remind people of the towing ban currently in effect.

Snowplow drivers are currently clearing roads, but crews want to remind people to give themselves extra time if traveling today.

There are reports of ice on the Leo Frigo Bridge, but crews are working to make the bridge safer for drivers.

This serves as a reminder that many bridges and overpasses will likely accumulate more snow and possibly ice because these surfaces are cooler than the ground where snow can melt.

Please stay with NBC 26 on air and online as we continue to monitor the situation this Thursday.
