A fishing vessel collided with an Indian Navy submarine off the coast of Goa; 11 rescued, two missing – India TV

On Thursday, a fishing vessel with 13 crew members collided with an Indian Navy submarine about 70 nautical miles off the Goa coast in a maritime incident. The Indian Navy promptly launched a massive rescue operation which resulted in the rescue of 11 crew members, officials said. Efforts continue to find the remaining people. Details of the collision and the condition of the submarine have not yet been disclosed.

Navy rescue efforts are in full swing

The Navy has deployed extensive resources to search for two missing crew members of a fishing vessel. Coordination with the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) in Mumbai is also ongoing. Meanwhile, additional resources, including coast guard resources, have been mobilized to intensify rescue operations.

Investigation continues

While the search operation continues, an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the collision. The Navy promised to provide further updates as more information becomes available.
