The end is near for Google It would seem that the Fit app on Android phones: looks like Fitbit the app is set to replace it on these devices in the future, and Google is making the most of its acquisition in 2021 fitness companies.

As I noticed 9to5GoogleThe recently launched Oppo Find X8 comes with Fitbit installed, not Google Fit. This is the first time we’ve seen this on a non-Google Android phone, and it’s possible that this will become the norm in the future.

If you bought one of Google Pixel 9 phones, you’ll notice that Fitbit has replaced Google Fit here too. If this also happens on phones made by Google’s manufacturing partners, the transition from one app to another is almost complete.

If you already have a lot of data in Google Fit, Google Health Connect can sync it to Fitbit if needed: tap Profile then the gear icon in the Google Fit app to set it up. You can also export Google Fit data from the app by tapping your Google account avatar (top right) and then Data and Privacy Compliance.

While it’s disappointing to see yet another Google app shut down, Google at least appears to be investing in new features and updates for the Fitbit app—even if it’s only recently. abandon the web interface for your Fitbit data.

Google previously announced a health coach using artificial intelligence this is currently being tested and will likely appear in the Fitbit app itself soon. It’s unclear when everyone will receive it, but it could arrive before the end of the year.

In recent weeks we also heard that an AI-powered sleep log is also coming for the Fitbit app, which will give you detailed information about your sleep health and how you can try to improve it. Whether these additions will be exclusive to Fitbit Premium subscribers remains to be seen.
