Jonathan Ron has a new love and seems happier than ever, but The Golden Bachelor alum still has regrets about the show. He regrets not being able to show Joan Vassos his hometown of Oakland, Iowa.

All’s well that ends well for Jonathan Rone, one of Joan Vassos’ top contenders for the Golden bachelorette party. After leaving the dating competition, he found a match with Michelle Zimmermann and seems to be happy. However, that doesn’t mean he’s 100% thrilled with how things went on the show.

While Jonathan found love for another woman, he still regrets his trip Golden bachelorette party. An Iowa man recently revealed his biggest regret while on the show.

Jonathan Rone regrets not being able to show Joan Vassos his hometown

Jonathan Rowne has been busy looking for love since his expulsion from Golden bachelorette party. However, he had time to sit down and talk with Des Moines Register. In a conversation with the publication, the Iowa native seemed pleased with his participation in the dating competition. However, he noted that he still has one regret. Rone said he was disappointed that he didn’t have the chance to show Vassos his hometown and regretted that he was eliminated a week before her hometown visit.

Rone told the publication that he was looking forward to showing Vassos around the small town of Oakland, Iowa, and letting her and the world see him in his element. Oakland is a small community of just 1,500 people, so he acknowledged that Oakland may not have the same name recognition as Chicago or the other larger cities its competitors call home.

Rone has come quite far in the fight for the heart of Joan Vassos. Vassos eliminated the father of two in week five. He was eliminated at the same time as inaugural Impression Rose winner Keith Gordon and fan favorite Mark Anderson. The departure came shortly before Vassos visited her suitors’ hometowns. Although Vassos did not specify why Rone did not contact hometown episodehe has some thoughts.

The father of two said he doesn’t know exactly why he was expelled. However, he suggested that Vassos may have felt he was at a different stage in life than she was. In a conversation with the Des Moines Register, Rone noted that although he is about the same age as Vassos, he has two children who are still relatively young. His daughter is in middle school and his son is in seventh grade. Children of Vassos all adults, some of whom have children of their own. All four men who came on dates to their hometowns had adult children.
