Coronation Street films fire scenes at fan favorites’ home

One of Coronation StreetThe most iconic US homes look set to be at the center of the soap upcoming fire storyline.

The ITV show recently completed overnight filming for explosive new scenes and now fresh news has emerged suggesting the Platts could be in danger.

According to SunA family’s home will be set on fire and burned down as part of an upcoming stunt that will air to viewers in the New Year.

The filming was recently confirmed by Salford City Council, which warned local residents of “loud explosions and fires” during filming.

Coronation Street will be reconstructing a house fire on the Coronation Street set, Trafford Wharf Road and Trafford Park,” the statement further reads.

Some of the show’s stars have also teased the scenes, with Lucy Fallon (Bethany Platt) posting an Instagram story alongside Julia Goulding (Shauna Platt) and Paddy Bever (Max Turner) as they warmly change clothes between takes.

“Night shoot,” she wrote in the caption.

Scenes will come after impending departure of Gail RodwellWith Helen Worth plans to retire from the sport legendary role this Christmas after 50 years.

“This year seemed like the perfect time to leave the show after celebrating 50 years of the most wonderful work on the most wonderful street in the world,” the actor said earlier this year.

“I made the decision at the beginning of the year and spoke to the producers, who were very kind and understanding,” Helen added.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and is broadcast on ITVX.
