Paramount Likely to Renew ‘King of Tulsa’ Season 3 and 4

Sylvester Stallone is close to finalizing a deal to continue his role in the hit Paramount+ drama series The King of Tulsa for seasons three and four.

Stallone plays Dwight “The General” Manfredi and is an executive producer. He’s set to receive a $1.5 million-per-episode raise for season two (via Deadline). While Paramount+ has not officially announced a renewal, a two-season renewal is expected, according to Deadline’s sources.

The potential renewal follows the success of the second season, which reached record viewership numbers. The premiere attracted 2 million viewers worldwide on its first day and 5.4 million in its first week.

In 35 days, it reached more than 10 million households, exceeding the first season by 8%. This strong reception paves the way for further growth, with additional companies similar to Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone franchise reportedly being considered.

Tulsa King follows Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a New York mafia capo. After serving 25 years in prison, he is sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma. There he founds a new criminal empire. Created by Taylor Sheridan and written by Terence Winter, the series combines drama and dark humor. The cast includes J. Will, Max Casella, Andrea Savage and Garrett Hedlund. Neal McDonough and Frank Grillo joined for the second season.

Tulsa King is Stallone’s first regular television role. The series was both a critical and commercial success. With Stallone’s return almost complete, Tulsa King is set to expand its universe and maintain its growing appeal to audiences.
