One day after most exit polls predicted a victory for the BJP-led Mahayuti in the Maharashtra assembly elections, two other pollsters on Thursday also predicted a victory for the ruling alliance in the western state.

My India Axis gave a whopping 178 against Mahayuti’s 200 seats with a vote share of 48 percent and 82 against the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA)’s 102 seats with 37 percent vote share. He predicted the rest would win between six and 12 seats with a 12 percent vote share. It did not give a single seat to the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA), which implies a 3 per cent vote share for the Prakash Ambedkar-led party.

Meanwhile, today’s Chanakya suggested that Mahayuti will get at least 175 seats and MVA might get 100 and the rest will get around 13 seats.

Axis My India has predicted big gains for Mahayuti in Marathwada and Vidarbha regions. The alliance recorded poor results in two agricultural belts during the recently held Lok Sabha elections.

In the Marathwada region, where 46 seats are up for grabs, the pollster predicted that Mahayuti would get 30 seats with 45 percent votes, 15 seats for the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) with 38 percent votes, one for the Others category (12 percent votes) and none votes to Vanchitu Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) with 5 percent votes.

In the all-important Mumbai region with 36 seats, Axis My India has predicted that Mahayuti will get 22 seats, 14 seats for MVAs and no seats for others. However, he predicts that the difference in vote share between the two main alliances will be small: 45 percent for the current regime and 43 percent for the opposition.

In the Konkan and Thane regions, where 39 seats are being contested, the exit poll predicted that Mahayuti would win 24 seats with a whopping 50 percent vote share, 13 seats for MVA with 33 percent votes and two seats for Others (15 percent votes) and nothing VBA (2 percent of votes).

Even though Axis My India predicted a big victory for Mahayuti in Maharashtra, it was the only pollster to predict a victory for the Congress-JMM alliance in Jharkhand with 49–59 seats out of 81, compared to only 17–27 seats for the BJP-led party. National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and three seats for the rest.

WHAT DID OTHER POLLS SAY?

While the Matrize exit poll, conducted in conjunction with several news organizations, predicted 150 to 170 seats for the BJP and its allies in Maharashtra with a 48 per cent vote share, it gave the Congress and other allies only 110 to 130 voting seats. share 42%. The poll gave the rest eight to 10 seats with a vote share of 10 percent.

The exit poll conducted by People’s Pulse gave NDA’s Mahayuti a whopping 175-195 seats while MVA gave only 85-112 seats and 7-12 to others in Maharashtra. The JVC-TimesNow exit poll gave the BJP-led coalition a total of 159 seats and the MVA only 116 seats and the rest 13.

Another exit poll conducted by P-MARQ in Maharashtra gave NDA a total of 137 to 157 seats and INDIA block MVA 126 to 146 seats, while the rest were given two to eight seats. On the other hand, a poll conducted by Electoral Edge predicted the MVA to win 150 seats, giving 121 to the BJP-led Mahayuti and 20 to others in Maharashtra.

Exit polls conducted by Poll Diary predicted the NDA to win between 122 and 186 seats and the MVA between 69 and 121, with the rest in Maharashtra projecting between 12 and 29 seats. Another pollster, Chanakya Strategies, predicted 152 to 160 seats for Mahayuti and 130 to 138 seats for MVA, while favoring six to eight seats for the rest in Maharashtra.

Lokshahi Rudra predicted a close fight between Mahayuti and MVA in Maharashtra and gave them 128 to 142 seats and 125 to 140 respectively. The rest were provided with 18 to 23 places. The exit poll conducted by Lokpoll gave Mahayuti 115-128 seats with a vote share of 37 to 40 percent and predicted a victory for MVA with 151 to 162 seats, giving them 43-46 percent vote share. He gave the rest between five and 14 seats with a vote share of 16 to 19 percent.

A poll conducted by the Center for Global Studies (CGS) of Delhi University predicted an election victory for the Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra and the NDA in Jharkhand.

Exit polls were released soon after polls closed in Maharashtra and the second phase of voting in Jharkhand, predicting victory for the Mahayuti government in Maharashtra and the NDA in Jharkhand.

In the 288-member Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, 145 is the majority. The BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP alliance is in power in the state. The counting of votes will take place on November 23 for the assembly elections and by-polls for 15 seats in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Kerala and Uttarakhand.
