Ashlee SimpsonBronx’s son is growing – and taller and taller.

The singer celebrated her eldest son’s 16th birthday with Instagram carousel on Wednesday, November 20th. Her post included a photo of the Bronx towering over her as Simpson, 40, leaned on his shoulder. Bob Marley“Redemption Song” was playing in the background.

“Being your mom has been the greatest joy of my life,” she wrote in the caption. “You are my rock, my soul. My ride or death. You have been the greatest blessing in life that I could ever ask for. I wouldn’t be myself without you.”

Simpson shares the Bronx with her ex-husband Pete Wentz. She was married to the bassist of Fallout Boy from 2008 to 2011. daughter Jagger, 9, and son Ziggy, 4.With husband Evan Ross.

“Thank you for choosing me to be your mom and YOUR mom,” Simpson continued. “You are so calm, consistent, smart, loving, kind-hearted, thoughtful, funny, mysterious and incredibly cool. I thank God every day for becoming your mother. You are truly a gift to this universe and I am so lucky to have you as my very grown up and cool little guy… happy 16th birthday. I love you.”

In the past, Simpson has gushed about Bronx meeting Wentz, telling Olivia Allen And Rachel Bilson about his “broad ideas” podcast that she won”co-parenting lottery“

“I think we started co-parenting when Bronx was two-and-a-half years old, too, so he didn’t know any different,” she explained in February. “We used to have three or four of these, you know the days when you had children? And I think maybe he was about 10 years old, he was like, “No, I want to do one week, one week.” We kind of share it, and it’s been that way for so long, and it works, and we’re so easy with each other that we say, “Do you want to go on tour?” It was a real flow and a natural good thing.”

Bronx is now 16 and learning to drive. Simpson told Us in August.

“It’s so exciting and he’s such a cool, like, old man, so I feel like he’s ready for 16 and got the go ahead,” she said.

Simpson ended her post with a little TMI for her son.

“And you were born for this song,” she concluded. “Thank you for making me the happiest.”
