Enrique Gil shares a frightening experience on the set of his new film | PhilNews

Enrique Gil has a new film with Rob Gomez and Alexa Miro

Actor Enrique Gilalongside his co-stars Alexa Miro and Rob Gomez in the film Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Murder Hospitalshared their frightening experiences on set.

Enrique’s new film is in the horror category and has been included as one of the official entries of the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival. This is based on Gonjiam Haunted AsylumSouth Korean box office hit.

At a recent press conference for the film, based on an article in the Manila Bulletin, Enrique shared that making a horror film has always been his dream. Alexa said that all the actors were cameramen.

Enrique Gil boasted that this is the first film in the history of Philippine cinema and this makes them excited.

Rob Gomez said he was terrified during filming. The Kapuso actor said he doesn’t believe in strange frequencies, but he was sweaty during filming and the location was so scary.

Alexa Mirp said they were excited to explore Taiwan and that they have friends who are sensitive to the paranormal. “They heard or felt something on the ganun,” the actress shared.

She then said that she personally experienced something scary when they passed by the tunnel leading to the location. She said they whispered to her that they shouldn’t take that route. “When you get into the tunnel, you have some kind of energy similar to this. It was hard. Some parts of the body may be similar,” she shared.

Alexa was grateful that her mom, Jane de Leon, was there to check on her, which gave her relief.

Enrique Gil said that the Taiwanese crew members prayed for their group during filming and also made some donations.

He also said that during filming several pieces of film equipment malfunctioned. The actor said that he actually felt like there were strange frequencies in the area, as if a table had suddenly fallen in one scene. Alexa added that they heard voices pretending to be them and “it was like a warning from the spirits.”
