He was found guilty by a Suffolk County jury. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 5, the statement said.

On Jan. 26, 2022, Castro was evicted from a relative’s home in Rockville Park after an argument with family members, according to the statement.

Castro approached his cousin with a knife, but then pointed the knife toward the man, stabbing him in the left side, the statement said.

Reed went outside to help after he heard a noise, according to the statement. Castro approached Reed as he was returning home and stabbed him in the chest, the statement said.
